Chiranjeevi's Film Tops Sankranthi Box Office
During the Sankranthi festival, Chiranjeevi's film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu did really well at the box office, making more money than Prabhas' film The Raja Saab.
Chiranjeevi's movie collected over Rs 200 crore worldwide, while Prabhas' film collected around Rs 136.75 crore.
People loved Chiranjeevi's comedy and his performances with Venkatesh.
Other young actors like Naveen Polishetty and Sharwanand also had successful films.
However, Ravi Teja's film did not do as well.
Overall, the festival brought many people back to theaters, which is great for the Telugu film industry.
Some people think that keeping ticket prices reasonable helps films do better.
Chiranjeevi's Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu collected over Rs 200 crore worldwide, outperforming Prabhas' The Raja Saab, which collected around Rs 136.75 crore.
Audiences appreciated Chiranjeevi's comedy and his on-screen chemistry with Venkatesh, despite some screenplay loopholes.
Prabhas' film faced criticism for its weak story and negative pre-release trolling, affecting its box office performance.
Young actors Naveen Polishetty and Sharwanand also had successful films, with Anaganaga Oka Raju and Naari Naari Naduma Murari collecting Rs 12 crore and Rs 5 crore respectively.
Theatre-going culture revived during Sankranthi, with most theaters witnessing houseful audiences for all five releases.
