Rajasthan De-empanels 8 Hospitals for Irregularities
The Rajasthan government has removed 8 hospitals and diagnostic centers from the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS) because they did not follow the rules.
The government also suspended 11 pharmacies and is taking action against 7 doctors for giving wrong treatments.
They found out about these problems after checking and auditing the hospitals.
The government is also making sure that the hospitals and pharmacies give back the money they wrongly took from people.
The RGHS helps government employees and their families get free medical treatment.
Rajasthan government de-empanelled 8 hospitals and diagnostic centers from RGHS in the last month for alleged irregularities.
Two hospitals had their transaction management systems blocked and payments withheld, while three others had their systems suspended for three months.
The government recovered Rs 8 lakh from pharmacies and issued notices to recover around Rs 23 lakh more.
Action has been initiated against 7 doctors for providing unjustified treatment or violating RGHS norms.
