Axita Cotton Shares Rise as Company Pursues Varidhi CIRP

Axita Cotton is a company that makes and exports cotton products.

It has shown interest in buying Varidhi Cotspin through an insolvency process.

Varidhi makes different kinds of cotton yarn used by clothing and weaving businesses.

Its factory has 29,184 spindles and can produce about 4,442 metric tonnes of yarn each year.

Axita Cotton believes the possible purchase could help it grow in the cotton and yarn businesses.

However, the purchase has not been completed.

Axita Cotton’s share price rose 5% on Friday to ₹7.68.

The stock has also fallen over longer periods, including 19% in six months and 32% this year.
