RBI Extends Call Money Market Hours
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is changing the hours for some financial markets.
The call money market will stay open later, until 7:00 PM starting July 1, 2025.
The market repo and tri-party repo will have extended hours till 4:00 PM from August 1, 2025.
These changes are based on a review and recommendations.
The other markets' timings will remain the same.
RBI is extending call money market hours to 7 pm, effective July 1, 2025.
Market repo and TREP trading hours extended to 4 pm, effective August 1, 2025.
The call money market will operate from 9 am to 7 pm.
Market repo and TREP segments currently close at 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm respectively.
The changes follow recommendations from a working group led by Radha Shyam Ratho.
