Israeli Envoy’s Son Critically Injured in West Bank Attack

Neria Leiter, an Israeli reserve soldier, was badly hurt when a car drove toward soldiers and police near Beit Horon in the West Bank.

The attack happened on Wednesday.

Emergency workers took him to a hospital in Jerusalem.

Reports said doctors performed complex brain surgery and that his life was in danger.

His father, Yechiel Leiter, is Israel’s ambassador to the United States.

Yechiel Leiter said Neria needed a miracle.

The driver, Mahmoud Mohammad Mahmoud Suleiman, was shot and died at the scene.

Neria’s brother Moshe Yedidya Leiter was killed while fighting in Gaza in November 2023.
