Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar started work on a new health centre in Pedanandipadu.

The centre will help people in nearby villages receive basic medical care closer to home.

It will also offer maternity services.

The project will cost about Rs 1.93 crore.

The old health centre had problems with its roof, slabs and saline water damage.

Pemmasani also started work on more classrooms at a Government Degree College for Women in Guntur.

That building will cost Rs 1.98 crore and will use corporate social responsibility funds.

The new classrooms are meant to improve facilities for women students.
