India Eases DSIR Norms for Startups
The Indian government has made it easier for new deep-tech startups to get support.
Before, these startups had to exist for at least three years to qualify for certain benefits.
Now, this rule has been removed, so even very new startups can get help.
This change is meant to give early support to innovators and help them grow faster.
The government also mentioned a big fund of Rs 1 lakh crore for research and development, which is meant for more mature startups.
The minister also talked about how important it is for industries to work together on research and how women are playing a big role in these efforts.
Four new initiatives were also launched to help startups and manage disasters better.
The Indian government has relaxed DSIR norms, removing the mandatory three-year existence condition for deep-tech startups.
This change aims to provide early support and accelerate the growth of new deep-tech startups.
The Rs 1 lakh crore RDI Fund is designed to support more mature startups with technological maturity.
Financial assistance, including loans up to Rs 1 crore, will now be available to early-stage startups without the three-year requirement.
Four new initiatives were launched, including revised DSIR guidelines and the PRISM Network Platform.
