Doval Raises Khalistan Concerns in Talks With Canadian Adviser

Ajit Doval, a senior Indian security official, met David Morrison, an adviser to Canada’s prime minister.

They talked about how India and Canada could work together on security and law enforcement.

India also raised concerns about pro-Khalistani activity in Canada, according to the report.

Morrison was visiting India.

Relations between the countries have been strained since Canada’s former prime minister made an allegation in 2023 about India and the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

India rejected that allegation.

In October 2024, India recalled its high commissioner and five other diplomats after Ottawa tried to link them to the case.
