NHAI Receives SEBI Approval for Raajmarg InvIT
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has received approval from SEBI to launch a new investment opportunity called Raajmarg Infra Investment Trust (RIIT).
This allows regular people and investors in India to put their money into highways, which can make them money over time.
Before, only big companies could invest in such things.
NHAI has set up a company called RIIMPL to manage this investment.
Several big banks, like State Bank of India and HDFC Bank, are part of this new investment opportunity.
This helps NHAI get money to build new highways while letting investors earn from existing ones.
NHAI received SEBI approval to launch Raajmarg Infra Investment Trust (RIIT).
RIIT is a public Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT) focused on highway assets.
The initiative aims to broaden investor access to infrastructure assets and recycle capital for new highway development.
Raajmarg Infra Investment Managers Pvt. Ltd. (RIIMPL) will manage the InvIT.
Several leading banks and financial institutions have equity participation in RIIMPL.
