Adani Ports’ Rising Volumes Offset Logistics Weakness, Overseas Push Continues

Adani Ports’ Rising Volumes Offset Logistics Weakness, Overseas Push Continues

Adani Ports moves cargo through its ports and logistics network.

In the first five months of FY27, it handled 234 million tonnes of cargo.

That was 16% more than during the comparable period.

The company wants to handle 1 billion tonnes by FY31.

Its current growth is slightly faster than the yearly growth needed to reach that goal.

However, its rail container business has been getting smaller.

Rail container volumes fell about 11% in the second quarter so far, after falling 19% in the first quarter.

Because logistics produces less profit than its share of revenue, the company may focus more on other segments.
