Lionel Messi's father Jorge Messi dies at 68

Lionel Messi is one of the greatest football players in the world.

His dad, Jorge Messi, has died at the age of 68 after being sick for a long time.

Jorge was very close to Leo and always supported him.

When Leo was a little boy, Jorge helped him play football and take care of his career.

A long time ago, Jorge made sure that Argentina's national team got a video of Leo playing.

Because of that, the coaches saw how talented Leo was.

When Leo moved from Argentina to Barcelona as a child, his dad stayed by his side.

Jorge also loved football from India.

Before Leo visited India, Jorge asked many questions about Indian football teams.

He even watched some Indian Super League matches and liked the club Mohun Bagan.
