Khajjiar: The Place Called 'Mini Switzerland' in India

Imagine a beautiful place in India that looks a lot like Switzerland.

This place is called Khajjiar and it's in a part of India called Himachal Pradesh.

It has pretty green hills, a calm lake, and snowy mountains, just like you see in pictures of Switzerland.

A special person from Switzerland even visited in 1992 and said it really does look like Switzerland!

He put up a sign there telling people how far away the capital of Switzerland is.

People like to visit Khajjiar for its beauty and for fun activities like horse riding and paragliding.

You can also see an old temple and a wildlife park nearby.

It's a great place to visit if you want to see a little bit of Switzerland without going all the way to Europe.
