Kerala Drafts Bill to Combat Ragging in Educational Institutions
The Kerala government is working on a new law to stop bullying, called ragging, in schools and colleges.
A group of people created a draft of the law after a court told them to.
The law says that every school and college must have a special group to stop ragging, led by the head of the school.
This is because the court was worried about more and more bullying happening in educational places.
Kerala government drafted a bill to amend the Kerala Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1998.
A 12-member working group created the draft bill in March.
The working group was formed after the Kerala High Court's directive.
The directive from the court was in response to concerns about rising ragging.
