Vijayawada Division Earns Over ₹8.5 Crore from Ticket Checks
Imagine a game where everyone needs a special pass to ride a train.
The train company in a place called Vijayawada checked many people on their trains in October.
They found many who didn't have the right pass or had a pass that wasn't quite right.
Because of this, they had to pay extra money, like a penalty.
In just one month, the train company collected a lot of money, over 8 crore rupees, from these checks.
They also found people traveling with too much stuff that wasn't properly booked.
The boss of the train line thanked the people who did the checking for doing a good job.
This helps make sure only people with proper tickets travel and helps the train company earn money.
Vijayawada Division of South Central Railway collected ₹8.59 crore in October 2025 through ticket checking.
The revenue was generated from 56,957 cases of ticketless travel, 64,998 cases of irregular travel, and 871 cases of unbooked luggage.
The drives aimed to promote passenger discipline and revenue protection.
