Vande Bharat Sleeper Train Passes Crucial Trials, Aims to Revamp Long-Distance Travel
A new kind of train in India, called the Vande Bharat Sleeper, designed for overnight journeys, has passed important tests.
These tests checked how fast it can go and how well its brakes work.
This train is being built by a company called BEML and uses special technology.
After these successful tests, it's a step closer to seeing these trains on regular routes across the country, making long trips on trains better and more comfortable for everyone.
RDSO successfully completed the trial run of the second Vande Bharat Sleeper rake.
The Vande Bharat Sleeper train is developed by BEML using ICF technology.
During trials, the train achieved a top speed of 180 kmph.
Oscillation Trials and Emergency Braking Distance (EBD) tests were conducted across three railway zones.
The successful trials bring the new sleeper train a step closer to regular service.
