Indore to Develop 4 TOD Clusters Along 31 KM Metro Route
Indore, known as India's cleanest city, is planning to develop four Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) clusters along its 31.32 km Metro route.
These clusters will be within a 500-metre radius of Metro stations and will include high-rise residential and commercial buildings.
The plan aims to improve urban infrastructure and public transport connectivity.
The first phase will cover clusters around Airport-Gandhi Nagar, ISBT-Chandragupt Chauraha, Rajwada (Nagar Nigam)-Regal, and SC-4-SC-3 Metro stations.
Experts from Arup Consultancy shared their international experience and proposed roadmap for implementing TOD in Indore.
The plan will be finalized after seeking suggestions from residents, urban planners, and other stakeholders.
Changes to existing planning regulations and development rules may be required for effective implementation.
