Khalid Al Zarooni Elected ACC Vice-President as Afghanistan Joins Board

The Asian Cricket Council held a meeting about how it is run.

Khalid Al Zarooni from the Emirates Cricket Board was chosen as its new Vice-President.

The choice was unanimous, meaning all members agreed.

Afghanistan Cricket Board was added to the ACC’s full member board.

This means Afghanistan can potentially take a turn leading the council in the future.

India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh currently rotate the presidency.

The ACC also chose representatives from several non-Test-playing and associate member countries.

New committees will help manage cricket development, competitions, finances and other work.
