GMR Airports Plans $245M Long-Term Bond Sale
GMR Airports, which runs airports in India like Delhi and Hyderabad, is planning to sell bonds worth $245 million.
These bonds will be paid back after 15 years.
The money from this sale will be used to pay off some old debts and for other company needs.
The company has been raising money locally instead of borrowing from foreign sources, which has become cheaper after an investment from Abu Dhabi.
Earlier this year, they also raised a large amount of money through shorter-term bonds.
GMR Airports plans to raise 22 billion rupees ($245 million) via a 15-year bond sale.
Proceeds will refinance debt and be used for general corporate purposes.
The company has been refinancing foreign-currency borrowings with local debt.
Abu Dhabi Investment Authority invested 63 billion rupees in GMR Enterprises' structured debt.
In August, GMR Airports raised 59 billion rupees through bonds maturing in 18 months and three years.
