Raghubir Yadav Questions Panchayat Film Amid Mirzapur’s Box-Office Success
Raghubir Yadav plays Brij Bhushan Dubey, also called Pradhan pati, in Panchayat.
People are discussing whether popular web shows should become movies.
Yadav does not think Panchayat needs a movie right now.
He says the show has too many characters and stories to fit into three hours.
He worries that making a movie could hurt the show’s future seasons.
However, he said he would act in the movie if the writers decided to make one.
Panchayat may have a fifth season in late 2026.
The discussion grew after Mirzapur: The Movie became a major box-office success.
Raghubir Yadav said a Panchayat film could “ruin the seasons” by compressing its stories.
He argued that the show’s many characters and detailed village lives need more than three hours.
Yadav said he would participate if a film were made, leaving the decision to the writers.
Panchayat’s fifth season could arrive in October-November 2026, according to director Deepak Kumar Mishra.
Mirzapur: The Movie has reportedly earned Rs 322.39 crore worldwide since its September 4 release.
