Kurnool Commissioner Urges Citizens to Regularize Properties
The head of the city government in Kurnool, India, is telling people to fix their illegal buildings and land layouts before the deadlines.
There are two programs: one for land layouts (LRS) and one for buildings (BPS).
The deadlines are January 23 for LRS and March 11 for BPS.
People need to submit some papers to show their buildings are safe.
The government says if you don't fix these problems by the deadlines, you might get in trouble.
They've already gotten almost 2,000 applications for the land layout program.
Municipal Commissioner P. Viswanath urges citizens to complete LRS and BPS applications before deadlines.
LRS deadline is January 23, and BPS deadline is March 11.
Residents must submit building details, site layout, safety documents, and structural certificates for unauthorised constructions.
BPS does not apply to government land, disputed properties, or CRZ violations.
Strict legal action will be taken against those who fail to regularise under the schemes.
