UTS App Stops New Pass Bookings
The UTS app, which many people in Mumbai use to buy train tickets and monthly passes, is making some big changes.
Starting now, you can't buy new monthly, quarterly, or annual passes on the UTS app anymore.
Instead, you have to use a new app called RailOne.
If you already have a pass, don't worry—it will still work on the UTS app.
Indian Railways is doing this to make things easier and bring all their services together in one place.
They are also giving a 3% discount on tickets booked through RailOne using digital payments.
If you prefer, you can still get a monthly pass the old-fashioned way by going to a ticket counter at the train station.
The UTS app might completely stop working by March 1, 2026, so it's a good idea to start using RailOne soon.
UTS app no longer supports new monthly, quarterly, or annual pass bookings; transition to RailOne app.
Existing passes remain valid and can still be shown on the UTS app to ticket-checking staff.
RailOne app offers a 3% discount on unreserved ticket bookings via digital payments from January 14 to July 14, 2026.
Passengers can still get monthly passes the traditional way by visiting PRS counters at railway stations.
UTS app might be completely decommissioned by March 1, 2026, with RailOne taking over all unreserved ticketing operations.
