Telangana Employees Seek Pay Revision and Pension Reforms

Telangana Employees Seek Pay Revision and Pension Reforms

Leaders representing Telangana government workers, teachers, and pensioners met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

They asked the government to address six important problems.

These included higher pay through a new Pay Revision Commission.

They also wanted unpaid Dearness Allowance instalments and other bills to be released.

The leaders asked for the Old Pension Scheme to return instead of the current Contributory Pension Scheme.

They also requested better health benefits and recognition for employee associations.

The Chief Minister said the government had already released about ₹10,000 crore for employee-related matters since January.

He promised to review the state’s finances and work on the remaining demands.
