Over 1,700 Indians Deported from US Since January
The US sent back over 1,700 Indians between January and July.
Most came from a few states in India.
Some flew back on regular planes, and others on military or special flights.
India's government is talking to the US to make sure everyone is treated well.
They've asked the US to be careful about things like using handcuffs and respecting religious customs, like turbans and food choices.
It seems the US is stricter with immigration now.
1,703 Indians were deported from the US between January 20 and July 22.
The deportees primarily came from Punjab, Haryana, and Gujarat.
767 individuals returned on commercial flights, while others used US military or charter flights.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) engaged with US authorities regarding humane treatment.
The Indian government raised concerns about the treatment of deportees, including the use of shackles.
