August Skies to Showcase Star Clusters: Hyades, Pleiades, Hercules

In August, look up to see amazing groups of stars called star clusters!

These are families of stars held together by gravity.

There are different types: open clusters, which are younger and spread out, like the Hyades and Pleiades, and globular clusters, which are old and packed tightly, like Hercules.

To see them best, let your eyes adjust to the dark.

You can find them across the sky, including in the constellation Taurus.

The use of binoculars or telescopes can make your viewing experience even better!
