Indiramma Housing Scheme Benefits Kolam Adivasis
The Kolam Adivasis, a group of people who have been living in difficult conditions, are very happy because they finally got permanent houses.
These houses were given to them by the government through a program called the Indiramma housing scheme.
Before this, they lived in houses made of mud or thatch, which had problems like snakes entering and rainwater leaking.
Students and teachers from a university visited their village to learn about their lives and saw how happy the Kolam Adivasis were with their new houses.
The chief minister of the state gave them the houses in a special ceremony.
Some of the Kolam Adivasis hope that the government will give houses to the remaining families as well.
Kolam Adivasis received permanent houses under the Indiramma housing scheme.
22 out of 50 families in Kerameri mandal benefited from the scheme.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy distributed the houses on June 1, 2026.
