Kurnool Strengthens Construction and Demolition Waste Management
The head of the Kurnool city government, P Viswanath, had a meeting with his team to talk about how to better manage waste from construction and demolition.
He said it's important to keep the city clean and green.
He told everyone to make sure that waste is not just thrown away anywhere and that people should use the official system to transport it, which costs a small fee.
He also warned that if anyone tries to cheat or doesn't follow the rules, they will be punished.
In another meeting, he talked about making sure the city gets all the money it should from shops, properties, and other things, and that everything should be done fairly and honestly.
Kurnool Municipal Corporation Commissioner P Viswanath directed officials to strengthen C&D waste management for urban beautification and environmental protection.
A nominal transportation charge of Rs 500 per tractor load will be levied for C&D waste, with strict action against violators.
Commissioner Viswanath warned against any lapses affecting municipal revenue, focusing on shop rents, goodwill amounts, and property tax.
Officials were cautioned against malpractice during title transfers and tax assessments, with a directive to ensure transparency and accountability.
