EPFO PF Withdrawal Rules, Claims, Forms, Limits, and Timelines

EPFO PF Withdrawal Rules, Claims, Forms, Limits, and Timelines

EPFO members can take money from their provident fund in different ways.

A partial advance can be taken while a person is still working.

This may be allowed for medical needs, education, housing, marriage, or certain job-loss situations.

Form 31 is used for these advances.

A person can withdraw the full PF balance through Form 19 after leaving work and remaining unemployed for at least 60 days.

Pension-related withdrawals use Form 10C when continuous service is below 10 years.

Members with longer service receive a Scheme Certificate and can await pension payments at age 58.

Online claims require verified bank, PAN, and Aadhaar details.

Fully KYC-compliant online claims usually take three to seven working days, while offline claims may take up to 20 working days.
