CPI Protests TTD Land Allotment to Oberoi Hotel
The Communist Party of India (CPI) is very upset because the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) gave a big piece of sacred land near a temple to a company called Oberoi Group to build a fancy hotel.
The CPI leader, Dr K Narayana, says this is wrong because the land is holy and should be used for schools or public needs, not for hotels with bars and restaurants.
He visited the site and talked to the media, saying the government and big companies are making this decision for money.
He wants the government to take back the land and stop the hotel from being built.
If they don't, the CPI will protest even more.
CPI condemns TTD's allotment of 25 acres of sacred land near Alipiri to Oberoi Group for a luxury hotel.
Dr K Narayana leads the protest, calling it a betrayal of faith and temple purity.
Allegations that the land was transferred to Tourism or Forest Department before allotment to Oberoi Group.
Concerns raised about hotels bringing bars, pubs, and non-veg food to a holy pilgrim area.
Demands include immediate withdrawal of the decision, cancellation of the allotment, and stopping all construction.
