Silver Prices Drop and Recover
Silver prices in India and globally have dropped a lot in one day.
On the MCX, silver prices fell to ₹2,35,952 per kg from a high of ₹2,54,174 per kg.
This big drop happened because traders sold their silver to make a profit, the cost to hold silver contracts went up, and the tension between countries eased.
Prices are different in different cities because of local taxes and other costs.
Even though prices dropped a lot, some experts think silver will go up again soon.
In fact, silver prices quickly recovered, rising nearly 4% in India and about 5% on COMEX, showing that the market can bounce back quickly.
Despite the drop, silver is still having its best year ever with a 157% surge.
Silver prices on MCX dropped 6% in one day, the biggest fall since August 2020.
Prices fell from ₹2,54,174/kg to ₹2,35,952/kg due to aggressive profit booking and margin hikes.
Global silver prices also dropped, with COMEX prices falling from a record high of $83.62 to $71.970.
Easing geopolitical tensions between Russia and Ukraine reduced safe-haven demand for silver.
Silver prices quickly recovered, rising nearly 4% in India and about 5% on COMEX, showing market resilience.
