Volvo ES90 And EX90 Electric Flagships Launch In India
Volvo Cars India is bringing two expensive electric cars to India on October 12.
One is the ES90, a sedan, and the other is the EX90, a seven-seat SUV.
Both cars use Volvo’s newest electric-car technology.
The ES90 can travel up to 700 kilometres on a full charge according to Volvo’s claim.
It can also add up to 300 kilometres of range in 10 minutes with a powerful fast charger.
The EX90 has a large 111 kWh battery and two electric motors.
Both cars have large screens, Google services and advanced safety features.
Volvo hopes these models will make its electric-car range stronger in India.
Volvo Cars India will launch the ES90 sedan and EX90 SUV on October 12.
The ES90 offers a claimed WLTP range of up to 700 kilometres and 800V charging technology.
The seven-seat EX90 has a 111 kWh battery, dual-motor all-wheel drive and more than 482 kilometres of EPA-rated range.
Both EVs use Volvo’s SPA2 platform, Superset technology stack and 5G-enabled Google infotainment.
The ES90 will compete with premium electric sedans such as the BMW i5, while the EX90 will sit above the EC40 in Volvo’s Indian lineup.
