PSU Employees Face Pension Benefit Loss for Misconduct
The government changed pension rules for those working in government-owned companies.
If someone is fired for doing something wrong, they might not get their retirement money.
A government group will check each case.
This is to make sure people act properly.
Some workers, like railway employees and high-level officers, are not affected.
Government amended pension rules for employees in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
Employees dismissed for misconduct, especially corruption, will lose retirement benefits.
The decision to withhold benefits will be reviewed by the administrative ministry.
The rule changes were formalized through the Central Civil Services (Pension) Amendment Rules, 2025.
