Petronet LNG Secures ₹12,000 Crore Term Loan
Petronet LNG, a big company that brings liquefied natural gas to India, has borrowed ₹12,000 crore from two banks, State Bank of India and Bank of Baroda.
This money will help them build new things, like a big plant in Gujarat that makes chemicals from gas.
They got this loan because the banks believe in their projects and think they are a good bet.
The company already has two big places where they turn liquefied gas into regular gas, and they are making one of them even bigger.
They are also planning to build a new place like this in Odisha.
This loan will help them grow and make more things from gas.
Petronet LNG secured a ₹12,000 crore term loan from a consortium of State Bank of India and Bank of Baroda.
The loan will be used primarily for financing the Petrochemicals Project and other capital expenditure needs.
PLL is setting up a 750,000 tonnes per annum PDH unit and a 500,000 tonnes per year PP unit in Dahej, Gujarat.
The loan was secured through a competitive bidding process, reflecting strong confidence in PLL's projects and financial profile.
PLL controls 43% of India's LNG re-gasification capacity and manages around two-thirds of India's LNG imports.
