Irish police intercept significant bomb near Northern Ireland border
Irish police stopped a car near the border with Northern Ireland and found a big bomb inside.
They think it was made by people who don't agree with the peace deal in Northern Ireland.
Two people were arrested, and one of them will go to court soon.
The police chief said the bomb could have caused a lot of damage.
This kind of thing still happens sometimes, even though there was a big peace deal a long time ago.
Irish police intercepted a significant explosive device in a car near the Northern Ireland border.
A woman in her 20s was arrested and charged, with a court appearance scheduled for Friday.
A man in his 40s remains detained and is being questioned.
The bomb was likely the work of nationalist militants opposed to British rule in Northern Ireland.
Sporadic attacks by militant groups continue in Northern Ireland despite the 1998 peace deal.
