Update Mobile Numbers on Vahan, Sarathi Portals

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in India has asked all vehicle owners and driving licence holders to update their mobile numbers on the Vahan and Sarathi portals.

This is important because many online services, like renewing your vehicle registration or getting a new driving licence, need a working phone number.

If your number is old or wrong, you might not be able to use these services.

To update your number, you need your registration certificate or licence and your new mobile number.

For vehicles, you go to the Vahan portal, enter your registration number and part of your vehicle's ID, then add and verify your new number.

For driving licences, you use the Sarathi portal, enter your licence details, and verify your new number.

Keeping your number updated helps you get important alerts and makes the transport system work better.
