Women’s Asia Cup Could Revive India-Naqvi Trophy Dispute

Women’s Asia Cup Could Revive India-Naqvi Trophy Dispute

The Women’s Asia Cup is a cricket tournament being held in Dubai.

India and Pakistan will play each other in the group stage.

They could play again only if both teams reach the final.

Mohsin Naqvi may present the trophy because he leads the Asian Cricket Council.

He also leads Pakistan’s cricket board and is Pakistan’s Interior Minister.

India’s men previously refused to receive the Asia Cup trophy from Naqvi.

That trophy has still not been handed over to the champions.

The BCCI is waiting to see what would happen if India’s women win.

Another Asian Cricket Council official could present the trophy to avoid a new dispute.
