Delhi Orders Sealing Illegal Buildings After Satya Niketan Collapse
A tall building used as a student paying guest home fell down in Satya Niketan, Delhi.
At least six people died, and several others were rescued or injured.
Rescue teams searched the rubble and took injured people to hospital.
The building was originally allowed to have only one floor above the ground, but it had been expanded much higher.
Repair work was reportedly happening on the ground floor before the collapse.
Officials are also examining water in the basement and rain as possible reasons the building became weak.
Police registered a case against the alleged owner, Hariram, and others.
The city ordered illegal buildings higher than four floors to be sealed.
A nearby girls’ PG was evacuated and sealed because it shared a wall with the collapsed building.

Reports said 10 people were injured or rescued, while officials later said 12 people were recovered.
