Courts Uphold Divorces Over Dietary and Financial Disputes

In two different cases in India, courts made decisions about divorces and money.

In the first case, a couple got a divorce after 23 years of marriage because they couldn't agree on what to eat.

The wife didn't want onions and garlic in her food because of her religion, but the husband wanted them.

The husband had to cook two different meals for his wife and the rest of the family, which caused problems.

The court said they could divorce and decided how much money the husband should give the wife every month.

In the second case, a woman who was earning money was not given any extra money by the court because she was able to take care of herself.

The court said she should have told the truth about her income.
