Swedish Police Probe Five Election Fraud Complaints Around Stockholm

Swedish police are checking five complaints about possible cheating in a recent election.

The complaints were made around Stockholm.

Two of them mention possible vote-buying.

One complaint involves voting in Järva.

Police are also investigating a separate case in Borlange.

That case involves a Left Party candidate who unexpectedly received many votes.

If serious wrongdoing is found, an election review board could order a new vote affecting 11 seats.

So far, no suspects have been formally identified and no one has been charged in that case.
