Beed Civil Hospital Nurses Hold Two-Hour Work Stoppage

Beed Civil Hospital Nurses Hold Two-Hour Work Stoppage

Some nurses at a hospital in Beed, a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra, stopped working for two hours one Tuesday.

They did this on purpose, as a peaceful protest.

Many other nurses across the state did the same thing that day.

The protest was organised by a group called the Maharashtra Government Nurses Federation.

The nurses were not protesting against patients or doctors.

They wanted the government to fix some problems with their jobs.

They asked for new rules for hiring nurses, more nurses at hospitals, and faster promotions.

They also asked the government to fill all the empty nurse jobs quickly.

The protest was peaceful and safe for everyone.
