Deep Depression Nears Andhra Pradesh, Bringing Heavy Rainfall Risk
A deep depression is a strong weather system over the Bay of Bengal.
It is expected to reach land near Kalingapatnam in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday night.
The system is moving more slowly than it did earlier.
Because it is slow, it may bring very heavy and lasting rain.
Winds are expected to cause less damage than the rain.
The system may travel west after reaching land.
It is expected to affect parts of West Bengal on Thursday and Friday.
Later, it may move toward Chhattisgarh and gradually become weaker.
