DTC to Set Up Charging Stations for Commercial Vehicles in Delhi
The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) is setting up charging stations for electric buses and trucks at three bus depots in Delhi.
These stations will have powerful chargers and special features like touchscreens and emergency buttons.
The goal is to help more people use electric vehicles and reduce pollution in the city.
The DTC has already started similar work at nine other depots and plans to have all its buses running on electricity by the end of the year.
DTC is setting up charging stations for commercial vehicles at Okhla, Narela, and Dwarka depots.
The project costs around Rs 11 crores and involves installing 1,600 KVA compact substations.
Charging stations will have 240 KW DC chargers with features like LCD touchscreens and emergency stop buttons.
The initiative aligns with Delhi's plan to transition the entire public bus fleet to electric vehicles.
Charging facilities will be accessible via mobile app, QR code, and RFID card.
