Jharkhand exam protest enters 18th day; BJP bandh, ABVP march

In the Indian state of Jharkhand, many students are upset because they believe the tests people take to get government jobs were not fair.

They have been protesting for 18 days to complain about this.

Some students have even stopped eating in protest, and two of them got sick and had to go to the hospital.

The police used water cannons and sticks to stop students from walking to the state assembly building.

One big political group, the BJP, asked shops and offices to stay closed for a whole day to support the students.

Another student group marched to the assembly, but police stopped many of its members.

The state's leaders talked with the students many times, but they could not agree.

The government says it already agreed to most of what the students want, but the students say that is not true.

Police have arrested 20 people, including the former head of the commission that runs the exams.

The argument is still going on, and no one has solved it yet.
