Zuckerberg Apologises for Modi Post Removal, Admits Moderation Failures

Meta is a very big company that owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, shared a video on Facebook where he talked to students about exam paper leaks.

The video was taken down for a little while, and many people were upset.

The government asked Meta's leaders to come to New Delhi to explain.

The boss of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, said sorry for the mistake.

Meta also admitted that it had problems with bad content, like videos that hurt children and fake videos called deepfakes.

Meta said a lot of money was paid to make some kinds of content appear more often.

India's government said Meta cannot call itself a neutral platform because its computers choose what people see.

Lawmakers gave Zuckerberg three days to apologise, or he could lose special legal protections.

Meta promised to add extra checks on the Prime Minister's posts from now on.
