Telangana Chief Secretary Seeks Plan to Boost Medical Tourism

Telangana wants to attract more people from other countries who need medical care or wellness services.

Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju asked officials to make a plan for this work.

The plan will be part of the state’s tourism policy for 2025 to 2030.

Officials said Hyderabad has many accredited hospitals and already receives patients from West Asia and Africa.

The plan is expected to address hospitals and other infrastructure, investment, promotion and cooperation between groups.

Officials were also asked to work on an online portal to help visitors find consultations, treatment and hospital services.

Jaju said organ-transplant procedures should follow the rules and be handled transparently.

Officials are to prepare priority projects and investment plans before the Telangana Global Summit.
