Scientists Inspect Material for Polavaram Dam Construction
Scientists visited some places in Eluru district to check the soil, rocks, and gravel that will be used to build the Polavaram dam.
They collected samples to test in their lab to make sure these materials are good enough for construction.
The scientists also did some quick tests right at the site.
Officials from the Andhra Pradesh Water Resources department were with them.
This is an important step to ensure the dam is built safely and strongly.
Scientists from CSMRS inspected sites in Eluru district for materials needed for Polavaram dam construction.
Samples of soil, rock, and gravel were collected for lab testing to determine their suitability.
Preliminary tests were conducted on-site before collecting samples for comprehensive lab analyses.
The inspection focused on the GP-1 and Gap-2 zones of the Polavaram project.
AP Water Resources officials accompanied the CSMRS scientists during the inspection.
