SAS to launch non-stop Copenhagen-Mumbai flights from October 1
Scandinavian Airlines, also called SAS, is an airline that flies people to different countries.
It has decided to start a new flight route between two big cities: Copenhagen and Mumbai.
Copenhagen is in Denmark, and Mumbai is in India.
The new flights will begin on October 1.
SAS wanted to start these flights earlier, on June 2.
But the first flight had to turn back to Copenhagen after flying for eight hours.
That happened because the airline did not have the right permission from the aviation authority yet.
Now SAS has all the approvals it needs.
The airline will fly this route five times a week.
Passengers can also connect to other cities in Europe and North America.
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will start non-stop Copenhagen-Mumbai flights on October 1.
The airline has secured all regulatory approvals needed for the new route.
The service was originally planned to begin June 2, ending a 17-year gap in the route.
The first planned flight returned to Copenhagen after eight hours because DGCA approval was not in place.
SAS will operate five weekly flights with onward connections to Europe and North America.
