NSE IPO Nears Launch as SEBI Review Approaches Completion

NSE IPO Nears Launch as SEBI Review Approaches Completion

The National Stock Exchange, or NSE, wants to become a publicly traded company.

Its regulator, SEBI, is close to approving the document needed for the IPO.

The IPO would let current shareholders sell some of their NSE shares.

NSE itself would not receive money from these sales.

Up to 148.9 million shares could be sold, equal to about 6% of the company.

The proposed offering was valued at around ₹30,000 crore based on NSE’s earlier unlisted-market valuation.

The review took longer after the list of selling shareholders changed.

Public comments on the proposal can now be submitted until August 31, 2026.
