Indian Markets Rally on Oil Price Drop
The Indian stock markets opened higher on Monday after five days of losses.
This happened because oil prices dropped by about 5% after the US and Iran stopped their strikes over the weekend.
The Sensex and Nifty 50 both went up, and the Indian rupee got stronger against the US dollar.
Many stocks reached their highest prices in a year, and the overall value of all stocks listed on the BSE went up by Rs 3.83 lakh crore.
Experts think that if the situation in West Asia stays calm and oil prices keep dropping, the markets might keep going up.
However, some investors are still careful because foreign investors have been buying and selling a lot of stocks recently, and there are concerns about the tech industry.
Indian equity markets opened higher on Monday after five consecutive sessions of losses.
The Sensex jumped 566 points to 76,608.66, and the Nifty 50 surged 153.60 points to 23,923.30.
The Indian rupee strengthened 35 paise to 96.18 against the US dollar.
Oil prices fell about 5% after the US and Iran paused strikes over the weekend.
The market cap of BSE-listed firms rose by Rs 3.83 lakh crore to Rs 479.52 lakh crore.
