Writers’ Building Set to Host Bengal Ministers Again
Writers’ Building is an old government building in West Bengal.
It has not hosted ministers’ offices for nearly 13 years.
Now, the chief minister and five other ministers may move their offices there.
Their offices are expected to be on the second floor.
Public Works Minister Ajay Poddar has discussed repairs with officials.
The building needs restoration before it becomes active again.
The Adani Group may help pay for the work through its social responsibility program.
The government and the group are still discussing the proposal.
West Bengal’s nearly 250-year-old Writers’ Building is expected to reopen ministerial offices after almost 13 years.
