Kolkata Police Rescue Kidnapped Trader After UPI Payment
A businessman from Kolkata was kidnapped and held for ransom.
The kidnappers demanded money, and his wife paid a small amount via a phone payment app.
This payment helped the police find where the man was being held.
The police quickly rescued him and arrested the people who did it.
They believe the kidnapping happened because of a disagreement about money.
A Kolkata-based trader was kidnapped near Netaji Bhawan metro station and held for ransom.
The kidnappers initially demanded Rs 10 lakh, later reduced to Rs 5 lakh.
The victim's wife made a UPI payment of Rs 10,000 to one of the suspects, providing a crucial lead.
Police tracked the UPI transaction and rescued the victim within hours.
Five suspects were arrested in connection with the kidnapping.
